Abbie is a storyteller and illustrator inspired by Celtic myth and folklore and the stories of people and the land around us.

Her illustrations are used to create original screenprints which are then scanned to make high quality printed images available as prints and greeting cards.

The Banshee, in Irish folklore, is an apparition to heralds the death of a family member by ailing or "keening". She has many forms either an ageless woman or an elderly woman with a veil and was sometimes seen combing her hair while keeping and if a person were to find a comb they were advised to leave it in case it had been left by the Banshee. Although she installs dread she did not cause a death merely warned of it. The fear if thr Banshee is still used as a warning to children to stay close to home.
