Abbie is a storyteller and illustrator inspired by Celtic myth and folklore and the stories of people and the land around us.

Her illustrations are used to create original screenprints which are then scanned to make high quality printed images available as prints and greeting cards.

An Gearran is the Gaelic for February and, it is said that at the very start of this month, the Cailleach, Godess of the Scottish landscape and all within it is faced with the decision whether then to collect firewood to extend winter for a further month. If the day is sunny then she will do so and winter will be prolonged.  If the day is rainy the weather will prevent her and Spring will come as expected the following month. She is linked to winter and the transformation of the land as the seasons turn.

Her illustrations are used to create original screenprints which are then scanned to make high quality printed images available as prints and is the Gaelic for January taking its root from the Gaelic word for Wolf, a species which was once common here in Scotland but long since lost from our hills and forests. Here the wold carries the Caiileach a powerful Giddess gifure known as a creator and weather deity and guardian of thr land. She is tied to winter and the transformation of the land as the seasons turn and the wild animals we traditionally associate with Scotland: red deer, the wild boar and even wolves.
